Here are the 20 most popular blog singles on New Music United this week with notes by the editor:

  • There are three new entries this week. I was expecting the stunning new blog single from Neneh Cherry to take the number one spot, but two other tracks surpassed her.
  • The Gasolin’ track is a remix envisioned by the late Kjeld Tolstrup (to whom this entire blog is dedicated). Unfortunately, the record company has decided to pull all web streams so you have to go to an external streaming service or a download site to hear it. There are links provided in the blog single.
  • The “new” Joey Ramone blog single storms into top 10 and that makes us very happy!
  • Another new entry – and typical of NMU – is an album track by no other than The Beatles.
  • As usual, the chart is a crazy mix across genres, time and place. Enjoy the music of supercrooner Frank Sinatra and Douglas J. McCarthy from techno pioneers Nitzer Ebb on the same site!
