Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin Bout You” with no words: Flea plays the melody on trumpet, over his own electric bass, an upright and a string section arranged by Nathaniel Walcott. The third single from Honora, his first album under his own name, out March 27 on Nonesuch and named after his great-great-grandmother. He has said he picked the song because he loved Channel Orange and thought it would be fun to play on the horn.

Written by Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor. Flea: electric bass and trumpet. Anna Butterss: upright bass. Strings arranged and orchestrated by Nathaniel Walcott, conducted by Suzie Katayama, with Paul Cartwright as concertmaster. From Honora, produced by Josh Johnson. Nonesuch Records. Photograph: Cornet in B-flat, John Augustus Köhler, London, ca. 1849, silver-plated brass. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Purchase, Amati Gifts, 2002.
