UPDATE! BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEO!

Newcastle’s Beth Jeans Houghton, coming off the EP release “Hot Toast” and the single “Golden/Night Swimmer”, has signed with Mute Records. She plans on releasing a new album later this fall. Until then, she’s offering a free song, “Dodecahedron”, to give you a taste of the record to come. It’s a whispery bit of dream-pop with a kaleidoscope of imagery, including dodecahedrons, demons taking flight, fools, yielding jewels, and a car crash. She sings in high-pitched wonder (with male accompaniment) as the galloping song reaches its elegant concluding verses, “We’ll push and pull apart this nation / For the salvation, to which we bow.” It’s divine.
