Each of the bands on the label was asked to come up with a Christmas song. Chris Butler, founder and songwriter of The Waitresses, commented in a later interview: “A Christmas album? On a hipster [hipster ussed to mean cool, red.] label? With a bunch of junkies on it? Eurotrash? Come on. Never happened…..OK, they were not all junkies and Eurotrash. But they were extreme individuals.”
