Timmon Records in Helsinki, Finland – the home of Myron & E’s band & collaborators The Soul Investigators – have released their own custom versions of the Myron & E recordings, cut right at home in the Timmion Cutting Laboratory. The two albums are strictly limited edition vinyl releases, packaged with old school thick cardboard sleeve and “tip-on” cover. Cold Game contains the full, original versions six tracks from Myron & E’s Broadway (the U.S. release on Stones Throw) and three others which aren’t on the U.S. release. Going in Circles contains the full, original versions three tracks from Broadway and four others which aren’t on the U.S. release. Myron & E’s Broadway was released last summer, and we’d like to congratulate the band for making a few Best-of-2013 lists, with thanks to KCRW DJs Liza Richardson and Marion Hodges, and the voters of Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards.
