While Beck’s forthcoming album, Morning Phase, isn’t due out on Capitol until February 25th, he just released the album’s lead single, “Blue Moon.” Morning Phase marks Beck’s first album of recorded, original material in six years and is the long-awaited followup to Modern Guilt. Despite the anticipation for the album, the label has been very tight-lipped about the project thus far. Although Beck debuted a few new non-album tracks in live performances last year, “Blue Moon” is the first recorded music from the new album to be released. The track, which also appears on the new Girls soundtrack, is a swelling, orchestral and complex song that sounds like Beck is back at the top of his game. [Source]
