Deep Purple have announced the next single from their 2013 album, NOW What?!. The single, “Above and Beyond,” will be released November 4, 2013, via earMUSIC, the Hamburg, Germany-based international rock label which is part of Edel Group. According to the band’s website, “Above and Beyond” is “an affectionate homage to founding member Jon Lord, to whom the band dedicated the whole album.” After various songwriting sessions in Europe, the band recorded and mixed the album in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, PINK FLOYD, PETER GABRIEL, ALICE COOPER, KANSAS).
