Memory Tapes – Neighbourhood Watch (2012)

Scroll down to content

“Neighborhood Watch” centers around the rather freaky refrain “I’ll watch you sleep”, although it doesn’t sound anywhere near as creepy as it ought to at first, embedded within a prettily woozy composition. This cosy, been-in-bed-too-long feeling gets firmly shaken off at the bridge when the protective lurker in the corner suddenly wakes, gets all dominant and eventually a little menacing on you. But it is this grimier latter half of “Neighbourhood Watch” that is making everyone especially excited about imminent new LP, Grace/Confusion, look out for it 3rd December via Carpark. [Source]
