New Music United Top 20 Chart (January 27, 2012)

Here are the 20 most popular tracks on New Music United this week with notes:

1. The new blog single from electropop veterans Vince Clarke and Martin Gore are not surprisingly number one with this pre-release stream (the first blog single is also on chart as well).
2. How did the Bob & Earl track from 1958 end up on number two!?
3. Also, strangely, Foster The People’s summer smash is back on the charts again?
4. The Bessie Smith blog single is a historic pearl in this collection and deserves a permanent position on the chart!
5. Spleen United is currently the most popular artist on NMU (following in the steps of artists such as D-A-D, Laust Sonne, Mikael Simpson, Anders Trentemøller and Tim Christensen, who have all been solid chart performers).
6. Great classics from Roxy Music, The Beatles, Tamiko Jones, Depeche Mode, Glenn Miller and Link Wray are also welcome returns to this extremely “colourful” chart!
