Kieran Leonard is a British singer-songwriter and musician of Irish descent, who performs as a solo artist and with his four piece band he refers to as ‘The Horses’. He is particularly known for his poetical songwriting, and compelling live performances. There is a clear social and political awareness in his writing and an abundance of literary and cultural references, as exemplified by his singles ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Harold Pinter is Dead’. He has had critical comparisons to Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain and Leonard Cohen, all of whom he cites as influences.

  1. Wow this guy is just what we need right now. A songwriter with a voice and a point of view that relates to what is actually happening in the world right now. I first heard ‘Jerusalem’ when it was used on that Ridley Scott Movie ‘Day in a Life’ -perfect statement for a film about a snapshot of life on the planet. Can’t wait for his debut album this year. His voice gives me goosebumps.
