Gene McDaniels died on July 29, 2011. This track is from his final album Natural Juice, released on Ode Records 1975. At 3:40 you can hear some chord changes from Mussorgsky’s Pictures At An Exhibition. The album also contains his version of the tune he originally wrote for Roberta Flack, Feel Like Making Love.
