From Gaucho, the seventh studio album by the American yacht rock band Steely Dan, released in 1980. The album’s mixing sessions proved to be just as difficult as the recording sessions: it took Walter Becker, Donald Fagen, engineer Roger Nichols and producer Gary Katz over 55 tries to properly mix the 50-second fade out of “Babylon Sisters”. Drummer Bernard Purdie plays his signature half-time shuffle beat, the Purdie shuffle, on the track.
