With Beyoncé reworking their 2009 track Pon de Floor for recent single Run the World (Girls), it seems the influence of Major Lazer (aka producers Diplo and Switch) is on the ascent. They’re also pretty prolific remixers and their latest re–rub is for Beastie Boys’ new single, Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win, a Santigold collaboration. While the original is a laidback reggae-influenced summer jam, the duo have bolstered the beats, added some dancehall elements and seemingly thrown in the kitchen sink for good measure. [Source]
