The Big Crunch Theory – Arrows (Juan MacLean Remix) (2011)

Between running the storied Versatile Records, DJing as Gilb’r, and being one half of Château Flight, Gilbert Cohen is a man with a full plate. Yet he found time to team up with Lisa Li-Lund to form The Big Crunch Theory, a charming synth-pop project. Their first single, “Arrows,” finds Li-Lund’s unfinessed vocals frolicking with trembling organ chords and hand claps, recalling 50′s girl groups as much as, say, Belle & Sebastian. But being a Versatile release, “Arrows” needed more dance floor potential and was sent to Juan MacLean for a disco/house remodeling. [Source]
