In 1978, The Soft Boys released their first single, “(I Want To Be An) Anglepoise Lamp”. It was backed by “Fatman’s Son”. This was actually their second 7-inch release (they had issued an EP in 1977 called Give It To The Soft Boys). Neither song originally appeared on their debut album, A Can Of Bees, but the B side was added when re-released on CD. [Source]
