From their self-tilted album from 1968. Jimmy Page was a fan of Spirit and early Led Zeppelin shows often included them performing Spirit’s “Fresh Garbage.” Page, who has become notorious for taking credit for songs that he blatantly ripped off from others (the first three Zeppelin albums were the worst offenders), took the descending guitar line from “Taurus” and used it for “Stairway to Heaven.”
