The opening track of Apples for Isaac, Echo & the Bunnymen’s first album of new songs in twelve years, out September 18 on BMG: a funk-inflected groove with Will Sergeant’s guitar sounding as if he had slipped back to 1984 for an afternoon, and the third song shared before the record. Clem Burke, who died while it was being finished, is on drums for all but one of its eleven tracks.

Echo & the Bunnymen: Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant; drums: Clem Burke, who plays on ten of the album’s eleven songs and died in April 2025 while it was being finished. Produced by Ian McCulloch, who mixed the record with Alan Moulder and Andrea Wright. From Apples for Isaac, BMG, September 18, 2026.
