The opening track and first single from I Wrote You A Letter, the tenth M83 album, out September 25 on Anthony Gonzalez’s own label, Other Suns. Crashing synths and layered distortion build into a widescreen crescendo with a rougher shoegaze undertow, then the song falls away into a bare piano coda. Gonzalez, disillusioned with the world as it is, wanted a record less calculated and more spontaneous – more punk, in his word – grown from demos he began in the summer of 2024.

Written by Anthony Gonzalez. Produced by Anthony Gonzalez and Benoît de Villeneuve, who has worked with M83 since Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts; album artwork by Jean-Philippe Talaga, M83’s original designer.
