The bright side of Danceteria: In Heaven (When I Dance With You) is Marc Almond’s celebration of the joyful disco scene of the early eighties, the moment the record starts and everyone runs for the dancefloor. A farewell party of a song from Soft Cell’s sixth and final album, made with Dave Ball before he died in 2025; it came out in the middle of July, and the album followed on September 25.

Written by Marc Almond and Dave Ball. Marc Almond: vocals. Dave Ball: music. From Danceteria, Republic of Music, 2026.
