French electronic masterminds M83 are back on the music scene with “Do It, Try It”, the first single to be released from their upcoming album Junk.
On March 1, M83 frontman Anthony Gonzalez took to Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show to premiere the song. On the show, Gonzalez said Junk was hard to make after the success of M83’s last album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, which debuted and peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
“It’s difficult,” Gonzalez said on BBC Radio 1. “It was my most successful album and because of that, I didn’t feel any pressure because I just told myself, well, you had an amazing success with the previous album so now you can do whatever you wanna do, so just experiment and have fun with your music and just put it out.”
