Jody Reynolds – Black Tarantula (1959)

Here’s a short, but very awesome, music by the late guitarist Jody Reynolds. He’s mostly known by his #5 hit on the Billboard, “Endless Sleep”, back in the 50’s. Sadly, the guy isn’t as big as a legend as he should have been.

His work is worth checking out if you’re a surf music or rockabilly fan.

Oh, this track might be familiar to some of you from John Waters’ fucked up (as usual) movie “A Dirty Shame”, featuring Johnny Knoxville, Tracey Ullman and Selma Blair.

(About the title, I’ve seen this music being called both “Tarantula” and “Black Tarantula”. Not sure which version is the official.)

He died in 2008.
