The jury’s still out on whether or not Vampire Academy will truly break free from the current lineage of teen vampire movies, but — hey! — at least the soundtrack sounds good. There’s some previously-released material from Sky Ferreira, Au Revoir Simone, Goldfrapp and M.I.A., but also this new chilling, faster-paced version of Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” by CHVRCHES. It’s significantly shorter than the original track, which spanned almost ten minutes, but still feels suspenseful thanks to Lauren Mayberry’s haunting voice. [Source]
