Strings, haunting vocals and little else heralds the return of Zola Jesus to our hearts in new track ‘Fall Back’. As the percussion tentatively picks up the pace and Zola belts out “I would do anything to be the one with you,” reminding us of the surprising strength behind her voice that totally belies her slightness. Delicate and strong at the same time, as the sound builds into a screeching string crescendo it’s almost unbearably touching. Her new album, Versions, is due out August 19th. [Source]
