PLAY · Reliquia
PLAY · Magnolias
Rosalía was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on October 10, 2026, and brought a small version of her LUX stage show to Studio 8H. She sang Reliquia en pointe, on the tips of her toes like a ballerina, without missing a note. Then came Magnolias, the album’s closing song, sung against a black backdrop with rain pouring down around her. Both songs come from LUX, her 2025 album of female saints and mystics, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra. Reliquia draws on Saint Rose of Lima, and Magnolias on the Indian saint Anandamayi Ma.
Reliquia written by Rosalía, Noah Goldstein, David Rodríguez, Dylan Wiggins, Caroline Shaw, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Ryan Tedder. Magnolias written by Rosalía, Noah Goldstein, Dylan Wiggins, Daniel Wilson, Danny Casio, Matthew Maltese and Sophie May Jackson, and produced by Rosalía, Goldstein and Wiggins. From LUX (Columbia, November 7, 2025): track two of the first movement and the final track of the fourth. Live on Saturday Night Live, NBC, October 10, 2026 (host: Shane Gillis); the official performance videos were posted October 11, 2026. Sources: Consequence, Stereogum, Wikipedia.
