Moscow Youth Cult covered labelmate Grimes’ Oblivion.

In advance of the release of Grimes’ album Visions on 12th March (outside of the US – it debuted in the Billboard Top 100 last week), the video for ‘Oblivion has just gone online. Directed by Emily Kai Bock, it features Claire partying at various sports events and in a locker room. [Source]
With the release of her 4AD debut, Visions, scheduled for March 12th, Grimes is heading over to Europe in May for a lenghty series of tour dates. Starting in Bristol on 6th, she plays a headline show at London’s XOYO before heading to mainland Europe. The tour concludes with performances at Primavera and Field Day.
Yesterday while walking down the block, we saw two supremely uncool looking dudes fiddling with a bunch of old electronics piled into cardboard boxes on the sweaty street. They were sitting there messing with the stuff when we first passed, and then were still at it close to an hour later. It might have been work or it might just have been an on the low shoot for a budding chillwave artist. Whatever the case, it pretty perfectly captures the vaguely harsh, ramshackle vibe of this Grimes remix of S.C.U.M.’s “Summon the Sound,” which we wish we could say we were listening to at the time, but weren’t.
